_______________

Arnie Sales Henry Berger Jewelers is a retail jewelery store in the Aliquippa Shopping Center in Aliquippa, PA. Arnie Sales is the owner of the store and he's the star of his commercials. Arnie has been buying 30 second television commercials from Kinetic Images since February 95. The spots are aired in the Aliquippa area on local cable. Arnie is also the first KI client to take advantage of our high impact business cards.

List of spots in the sequence they were produced:

Salute to Mom...

"Salute to Mom" was the first commercial produced for Henry Berger Jewelers by Kinetic Images. The spot is the only one to date that is serious. The spot takes a nostalgic look at mom and the experiences, both good and bad, she shares with her children. This is the Mother's Day commercial.

Nell...

"I'm lookin for the jeweler..."

"That sure is pretty, Nell's gonna love this."

Often referred to as I'm lookin for the jeweler, "Nell" follows the adventures of a cowboy who thinks that "Black Bart" is trying to steal his girl. Fortunately for this cowboy he wanders into Henry Berger Jewelers and Arnie sells him a pretty stone. In this commercial we used the time-lapse effect, the people scram when the cowboy busts in the door and Quantum Flux provides a custom music track.

Dancin Days...

"Customers in the store morph into dancers..."

"Arnie will morph into a tux to sell you a diamond..."
[1996 Telly Award]
1996 Telly

"Dancin' Days" is the August Diamond Sale commercial. Some fella walks into Henry Berger Jewelers and asks if they're having a diamond sale. Arnie morphs into a tux right in front of his eyes. Arnie then causes the customers in the store to morph into dancers and entertain the guy into buying a diamond. This commercial has won a 1996 Telly Award.

Man in the Box...

"Man in the Box" is the story of a man who wants to propose to a woman at dinner and is so nervous that he's chokin'. Fortunately, Arnie is there to make sure that man is 100% satisfied with his purchase from Henry Berger Jewelers. Arnie coaches the man through the proposal and achieves 100% success. Fritz spent one serious session rotoscoping. He shrunk and painted Arnie into every frame that the effect is visible. The scene was shot at J. W. Hall's Restaurant in Hopewell, PA.

Santa's Spree...

"Oh, and my friend here needs an engagement ring..."
"Way to go, Rudy..."

Of course Santa shops at Henry Berger Jewelers, he and Arnie go way back. This time he adds, to his usual order, an engagement ring for Rudy. Rudy is a 3D object animation that was digitally composited with the video. Quantum Flux once again provides the custom midi music track. The musical track gives a lot of new twists to several traditional holiday themes.

Tap the Diamonds...

"Is this the place for the Diamond sale..."
"A diamond extravaganza..."

Arnie loves to have dancers in the commercials for his Diamond Days sale in August. This spot stands on its own as a special effects blitz. There is a lot of flashing and teleporting. This should be the "feel-good spot" of the summer on local cable in 1996. Quantum Flux provided a fine midi arrangement of "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend." Special thanks go to the dance team from Aliquippa, PA. They were great.
